The Elements of Elephants

These are the values Elephants in Main Street has chosen to publish as practical elements of how it works:

  1. Hope and kindness.
  2. We move to plan rather than experience a crisis.
  3. We do not play “us and them”.
  4. When in doubt, we communicate.
  5. We are mature, yet enthusiastic.
  6. We make things go right.
  7. We move to create optimal survival.
  8. We learn and create new things.
  9. We confront the metrics.
  10. We make change practical and tangible.

How to use the elements

The elements are intended as a shared working language. They describe how people may choose to respond to uncertainty, communicate across difference, use evidence, learn and make change useful in everyday work. They are published as values, not as a performance guarantee or a claim that every situation has a simple answer.
